Mullahy Biology Endowed Fund for Undergraduate Research

The Rev. John H. Mullahy, S.J., chaired
Loyola's Department of Biological Sciences for more than 20 years.
In 1978, faculty, students, and alumni of the Department of Biological
Sciences established an endowed fund as a tribute to Fr. Mullahy's
dedication to involving undergraduates in original research.
By 1985, the Mullahy Fund had reached a point where funds could be
used to support student research projects. The Mullahy Biology Endowed Fund for Undergraduate Research has made an outstanding contribution to supporting over 150 students in original scholarly research for over 16 years. The Department of Biological Sciences is committed to strengthening this research experience by increasing the number of students who can participate in research by developing new research programs with the Mullahy Biology Endowed Fund . Our goal is to increase the Mullahy Biology Endowed Fund for Undergraduate Research from it's current value of $160,000 to $250,000.
