Teaching Laboratory Coordinator
Biological Sciences
Loyola University, New Orleans

The Department of Biological Sciences, Loyola University New Orleans is seeking applications for a non-tenure track position of Teaching Lab Coordinator to begin January, 2005. The department is dedicated to excellence in undergraduate education and research (www.loyno.edu/biology). Eligible candidates will have a Masters or PhD in Biology or a related field. The lab coordinator will take a leadership role in revising the department’s core laboratory teaching manuals, coordinate, prepare, and maintain the core biology laboratories, train student assistants, develop a peer mentoring program, and teach one to two sections each semester (including summer session). This will be a 12-month position. In addition, he/she will order supplies and oversee maintenance of equipment and facilities in the department and serve as a liaison with other on- and off-campus vendors, maintenance and repair people.
