The Beggars have a history of service to the Loyola community and recently helped raise over $9,000.00 for the September 11th relief fund in cooperation with SGA. In the changing world following the events surrounding Hurrican Katrina, the city of New Orleans is in dire need of assistance in a multitude of ways. The Beggars have responded to that call by participating in community service work both on and off campus. These projects include: Katrina Krewe, Habitat for Humanity, Bring New Orleans Back and Loyola University Community Action Program.
