Each year, the Zeta Psi chapter of Alpha Chi
Omega holds philanthropic events and
performs community service to contribute to
the Fight Against Domestic Violence,
Alpha Chi Omega's national philanthropy.
This year we perform a wide variety of
activities spanning from volunteering with
Katrina Krewe to working with local Women's
Shelters to working with other organizations
in rebuilding New Orleans. Alpha Chi Omega prides itself in its philanthropic
activities. Other activities we participate in include: collecting Christmas
gifts for the local shelter, painting a local public school, helping to
sponsor "Take Back the Night" in conjunction with the Women's Centers at
Loyola and Tulane, cleaning the local shelters, clothing drives, and Breast
Cancer awareness programs.
Each fall, our chapter hosts the very successful Mr. Alpha Chi Omega Pageant. All proceeds go to national domestic violence awareness programs and to our local shelter. In the spring, on April 12th we will be hosting the Alpha Chi Field Day Fund-raiser to raise money for the cause.
