Yes, BEOWULF was turned into a movie starring Christopher Lambert of Tarzan fame. From the looks of the posters and trailers, this version is a good example of the action genre. Judging by the scantly clad female (Rhona Mitra) that appears in the posters, I believe that there is also a XENA influence. I have not seen the movie and cannot comment on its content or uses in the classroom. But, I do have links to the information. I don't think it is out on video.
