Writing Your Life: Memoirs and Family Histories taught by Patricia Brady

In this course, it's all about you, whether you're trying to make sense of certain episodes of your life, examine key relationships, or bring to life a portion of family history. We will read published memoirs to learn about selection, shaping a narrative, filling in the background, and knowing when to end the story.

Patricia Brady came to New Orleans in 1961 and never went away. A former director of publications at the Historic New Orleans Collection, she has published several biographies, including those of Martha Washington and Julien Hudson.
