A substantial collection of letters, photographs, manuscripts, and book editions is housed in Special Collections at Loyola's Monroe library. 

THE WALKER PERCY BIBLIOGRAPHY PROJECT

We have completed the first stage of our ongoing project to compile a comprehensive bibliography of books by, about, and including Walker Percy. Books are listed alphabetically by author’s or editor’s last name. The list currently includes only English language books. 

Community events

The Walker Percy Center sponsored readings, lectures, workshops, flim screenings, etc. for Loyola and the greater New Orleans community.

The Walker Percy Center's second biennial Conference, October 11-12, 2013 at Loyola University in New Orleans.

2011 conference: The Moviegoer at Fifty

The Walker Percy Center's first biennial Conference, October 14-16, 2011 at Loyola University in New Orleans.

 

PATRICK SAMWAY, S. J. PAPERS

The Samway Papers include a wide range of correspondence and other material related to Father Samway's interest in and research on Southern literature, with a focus on his biography of Walker Percy. Father Samway corresponded with a number of writers, scholars, and members of the Percy family. Father Samway has also donated a large collection of books by and about Southern authors that are housed in the Special Collections Room of the Monroe Library on Loyola's campus.
