Susanne B. Dietzel holds the Ph. D. in American Studies and Feminist Studies from the University of Minnesota. Her teaching interests include: interdisciplinary women's studies, feminist theory, and women and popular culture. Her research includes the history and institutionalization of women's studies, and African American and women's literature.  Most recently, she has lectured on women's lives in post-Katrina at national conferences. 

Janet R. Matthews, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology,  co-developed and annually teaches Studies in the Psychology of Women, a course included in the women's studies minor.   Her scholarship in this area led to her being named a Fellow of the American Psychological Association's division on Psychology of Women. She was the 1998 winner of the mentoring award given by the Section on Clinical Psychology
of Women, Division of Clinical Psycology, of the American Psychological Association. In 2004, she was named to the Board of Directors of Women Psychologists for Legislative Action, a political action committee developed to support women candidates for national office in the US government.
