The university web team programs, designs, and creates all new sites for offices, colleges, departments, professional organizations, and centers. Once a site is set up, it is the responsibility of the requesting office, college, department, and so forth, to keep the copy timely and accurate.
Examples of sites developed by the web team:
New site development can take between six to 20 weeks depending on the complexity of the site.
To request a site either from scratch or using an existing university-designed template, complete the online Web Request Form.
You MUST be part of a Loyola office, college, department, professional organization, or center to request this service. If you are part of a student organization, or are requesting an individual faculty, staff, or student page, see the following sections.
Non-academic Non-academic student organizations are responsible for creating their own sites and maintaining their own webspace. The Office of Web Communications is not responsible for creating, modifying, or maintaining student organization pages. Student organization web pages must abide by these policies.
Examples of non-academic student organization sites:
Student organizations that do not already have a valid Loyola user account should apply for web page space on the university server through the Office of Information Technology.
Academic Student organizations sponsored by an academic college or department may request a web page for their organization through the marketing assistant in their respective college or department. (For an example, MBA Student Association).
There are two types of faculty and staff pages: departmental faculty and staff pages, and personal faculty and staff pages. Departmental faculty and staff pages are single, static pages that include credentials and other professional information. For example:
Departmental faculty or staff pages are created and maintained by the person in your department in charge of maintaining your department's website.
Faculty and staff members are responsible for creating their own sites and maintaining their own webspace. The university web team is not responsible for creating, modifying, or maintaining individual faculty or staff pages. Individual faculty or staff web pages must abide by these policies.
Students are responsible for creating their own sites and maintaining their own webspace. The university web team is not responsible for creating, modifying, or maintaining individuatl student pages.
