Students thinking and working in Loyola's WAC writing center.

Writing Center

The Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) writing center is located at the center of Loyola's main campus in Bobet 100.

The center is equipped with 26 PCs. Additionally, a SMART Board and a scanner are available for instructor use.

A section of the main writing center doubles as an electronic classroom for workshops on computer-based writing, collaborative writing, and electronic research. Faculty members may reserve the 20-station facility for up to two weeks at a time per course for workshops. WAC staff is available to conduct workshops in writing with computers, researching on the web, documenting sources, and other topics. When not in use as a classroom, this section of the center is open to students for writing, research, and tutorials.

The main writing center is staffed with peer-tutors during operating hours and serves around 250 students per month.

The writing center is open Monday through Friday and on Sundays during the academic year. We also have summer hours. Call extension 2297 for exact hours.
