TWINS: Third World Insertion Program
The TWINS program gives students an extended hands-on experience of life in Nicaragua. They spend their Christmas break living and working with host campesino families and reflecting with experts on the realities of village and urban life in that Central American country.
Senior Class Gift Program
The Senior Class Gift program at Loyola is an innovative way for graduating seniors to give back to the community. The program helps students who will follow in the footsteps of the seniors through financial aid and scholarship while also leaving a permanent landmark on campus in honor of the graduating class. Past gifts include the dedication of trees in the Palm Court, a replica of the Loyola seal, an annual scholarship, and the donation of books to the J. Edgar and Louise S. Monroe Library. The most recent class gift has been a set of stepping stones which list the Jesuit ideals.
Big Brothers/big Sisters
Loyola and seven other area colleges and universities teamed with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeast Louisiana, a United Way agency, for an exciting partnership to expand upon its school-based mentoring program.
