Eligibility

Any high school freshman or sophomore who meets the following criteria is eligible for admission into the Loyola University New Orleans Upward Bound Program:

• Is a citizen, permanent resident or national of the United States and its territories, properties of trusts.
• Currently attends one of our four target high schools— John Ehret, L.W. Higgins, Helen Cox, or West Jefferson and/or resides in the area surrounding each school.
• Is at least 14 years old.
• Meets the economic criteria set forth by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Will be the first generation to earn a bachelor's degree.
• Is willing to participate in a year-round academic program.
