Participants will respond to literature for various genres and cultures-including written, spoken and visual texts-with American authors as the common focus. |

The State Content Standards for Science will be covered. Participants with a high academic risk in science will be enrolled in the course during the academic year. |
| ACT English |
This course will increase competencies in reading, writing, and vocabulary building as it relates to improving ACT scores. Test-Taking strategies will be incorporated into the course. |
| ACT Math |
This course will consist of elementary algebra, intermediate algebra, coordinate geometry, and trigonometry as it relates to increasing ACT scores. Test-Taking strategies will be incorporated into the course. |
