Ignatian
|
Learning about the spirituality of St. Ignatius doesn't have to be all classes, lectures and retreats. Join us for some Ignatian "reflection" that is fun for the whole family! |
Law School | Becoming a lawyer takes serious preparation; living as a lawyer takes serious reflection-- come learn from others who have walked or are walking the path of life as a law student. |
Advent Evening of Reflection | As the days draw short and the nights grow long, spend some time reflecting on the beginning of new life in Christ. |
Take Five Retreat | Not every retreat experience has to be long, only intentional and prayerful. The Take Five retreat is a FIVE-HOUR format for any retreat that allows you to get a taste of the experience in an abbreviated format. It is appropriate for those who are new to retreats or whose schedules do not allow for a full retreat experience. |
Small Group Retreat Offerings
These retreats are not currently scheduled, but are available for small groups (8-20) that are seeking assistance in planning a retreat for their group. These retreats are appropriate for student or faculty/staff organizations and departments, as well as groups of friends or colleagues who are simply interested in taking advantage of a retreat opportunity. They can be offered on or off campus, and can be adapted to fit the interests, schedule and budget needs of the participating group. For more information on small group retreat offerings, please fill out the Retreat Request form.
Bonds for Life Retreat |
How do your relationships form and shape you? What do we learn about God from experiencing friendship? St. Ignatius recognized that friendship was one of the most valuable ways that we grow in our faith. Share this retreat with the friends in your life! |

Ignatius taught his companions to immerse themselves in the culture of the world around them-- so he would probably have noticed that iPods (and otehr digital media) have changed the landscape of how today's young people intereact with that world. Come learn and share how today's technology can draw you in (rather than cut you off) from the gradeur of God's creation. |
Leadership Retreat |
All great leaders need to take time away to reflect on where they are and where they are going (think of Jesus in the desert and Ignatius at Manresa). Take the time to deepen your own leadreship experience by spending time in reflection about your leadership journey. |

Being a man or a woman comes with a lot of expectations, challenges and things to celebrate. A retreat experience with other men or women gives you the chance to get away and reflect on how those factors shape everything else in your life. |

Retreat Team
Share your gifts as a member of the Loyola Retreat Team! The general expectations of a Retreat Team Member are as follows, though actual responsibilities may vary somewhat depending on the needs of each particular retreat.
- Recruit participants for retreats. This entails more than just letting people know about a retreat; team members must be able to describe why a person would want to be on this retreat and reach out to groups and organizations that might want to participate together.
- Commit to periodic team meetings, to help plan and coordinate retreats with the Retreat Director and other members of the Retreat Team.
- Facilitate small group discussions at retreats and coordinate with CLC director for post-retreat follow up.
- Give talks or reflections at retreats.
- Contribute creatively to developing new retreat activities and revising existing activities.
- Have the ability to work well as a team member.
- Have a reputation for upstanding moral character, faith and integrity.
- Have some retreat experience. Experience as a participant on retreats, especially Loyola retreats, is valuable, and experience as a team member is even more valuable.
If you are interested in being a part of the Retreat Team, please fill out the Retreat Request form. We look forward to working with you!!
