The Twomey Center for Peace Through Justice seeks to shape social justice consciousness through education, and to take action on critical social problems confronting society. The Twomey Center acts as a catalyst for research and action on critical issues of workers' rights, racism, poverty and justice. twomey Successes
Urban Partners’ Jackson Barracks Prison Education Project
Loyola faculty members and staff worked with prison authorities and inmate leaders to establish a prison library and conduct classes ranging from literacy to law. The partnership lasted until the prison was closed in the early 1990’s.
