Separate weeks throughout the summer
Week 1: June 8-12, 2020
Week 2: June 15-19, 2020
Sponsored by Loyola University New Orleans Department of Design
Loyola’s Summer Design Camp is a chance for high school students to discover the different areas of design. But, whatever one’s goal in life—from accountant to zoologist — this program is a fun, creative, hands-on experience that will get you thinking and creating.
Students can choose from two experiences:
Students will be challenged to explore a variety of methods and media, while engaging in a process that is collaborative, thought-provoking, and imaginative to solve problems. “Thought into action” is one of the guiding principles of our camp experience.
Students have the opportunity to take classes where they can use the 3d printer, create animation, design a video game, or learn the basics of fashion design. Participants will leave with an understanding of the links between their knowledge and skills and how they can apply those to help understand and create the world they live in.
