Models of Human Behavior

PSYC-X230-W01
Professor Lawrence Lewis

This course is a multidisciplinary survey of various models of human behavior focused around the relationship between the relative importance of genes and environmental experience.  Human behavior is considered as a function of human nature, which in turn reflects varying perspectives on reality, truth, and values. Some particular issues this course addresses are the origins of human thought, its underlying brain mechanisms, and the extent to which thinking is similar and varied across species, culture, geography, gender, language, and religion.
