Greek Mythology

The purpose of this course is to examine the role of mythology in Greek and Roman antiquity. Beginning with a brief examination of the nature of myth and the methodology of study, the class will proceed to examine the myths of the Greeks, starting with creation and working through the gods of the Pantheon and epic sagas. Time permitting, we shall finish with a brief examination of Roman myth.
