Swine Flu Information
Although no cases of Swine Flu have been reported in Louisiana, be advised to take this condition seriously. If you feel sick, see a doctor. Use common sense hygiene to protect yourself and those around you.
The Center for Disease Control recommends the following to avoid Swine Flu:
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and then throw that tissue out.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water. Alcohol- based hand sanitizers are also effective.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Signs and Symptoms
- Fever
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Body aches
- Headache
- Chills
- Fatigue
