Swine Flu Information

Although no cases of Swine Flu have been reported in Louisiana, be advised to take this condition seriously. If you feel sick, see a doctor. Use common sense hygiene to protect yourself and those around you.

The Center for Disease Control recommends the following to avoid Swine Flu:

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and then throw that tissue out.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water. Alcohol- based hand sanitizers are also effective.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.

Signs and Symptoms

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Body aches
  • Headache
  • Chills
  • Fatigue
