LAWS ON THE STREET
- Open containers of glass or metal are not permitted.
- Stay behind all barricades and cables. Do not throw anything at float and riders.
LADDERS
- Do not fasten together in pairs and groups.
- Do not place in intersections or between curbs.
- Do not place closer to curb than height of ladder.
PARKING
- All normal parking regulations apply. Do not park in restricted areas.

SAFETY TIPS FOR SPECTATORS
- A carnival crowd can take on its own personality; make sure your actions contribute to the fun, safety, and mystery of Mardi Gras and not to a disturbance that everyone will regret later.
- Do not encourage the viewing crowd to run alongside floats for throws-these beautiful floats are moving ten-ton vehicles and present life-threatening danger when the crowd surges forward.
- Piggy-backing is dangerous, you may get swept away by the crowd.
- Respect the directions of band and marching unit chaperones and the police. Move out of their way and allow them to perform for your enjoyment.
