Dear Candidate,

On behalf of the Student Government Association, I would like to thank you for taking the first step towards holding a position in the SGA. This election packet will familiarize you with the SGA and guide you through the election process.

The following documents are needed to run:

Election Packet
Election Code
Constitution

The packet includes the election timetable, election process, intention of candidacy form, expenditure form, endorsement form, complaint, and withdrawal form.

Please be aware that although this election packet might include forms and codes that are similar to previous years, they are not the same. Most forms and codes have been revised. Make sure to read carefully through all of this packet’s contents. You will be held responsible for knowing all of its contents and requirements. The excuse “ I did not know “ will not work for any violation.

All candidates must adhere to the set deadlines. The intent for candidacy form is due Friday, February 29th at 5pm in the SGA Office. The expenditure form is due Sunday, March 2nd, between 5pm -7pm. Copies of receipt and endorsement forms are due Tuesday, March 4th and Wednesday, March 5th, respectively, at 12pm in the SGA Office. Complaint forms need to be turned in no later than 1 class
day after the alleged violation.
