Public Transit

Loyola service learning students who use New Orleans streetcars and buses to get to their service sites are eligible for free RTA tokens!  Tokens can be picked up in Bobet 113.  Note: office hours are MWF 2-3pm and TTh 1-2 pm.  You can also find route maps & schedules for most streetcars and buses outside Bobet 113.

Policies

• Service learning students who use public transit will be given a sufficient number of RTA tokens to travel to and from their service learning agency enough times to complete their hours.  Thanks to a generous grant from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation of Louisiana, RTA tokens will not be rationed for the remainder of 2012.
• RTA tokens obtained from the service learning office are for service learning use only.  Using service learning tokens for personal use is strictly forbidden.
• Some routes require riders to transfer from one streetcar or bus line to another.  Transfers can be purchased from any streetcar or bus driver for $0.25.  Students are responsible for purchasing their own transfers.
