Sharing a cab
Thanks to a generous grant from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation, the Office of Service Learning is piloting a program which will provide prepaid rides on United Cabs to certain preapproved destinations to groups of service learning students traveling together.
Rules and regulations
- Every student wishing to participate in the pilot cab sharing program must be authorized. Authorization forms will be distributed by Office of Service Learning. Note: office hours are MWF 2-3 and TR 1-2.
- Unauthorized students may not participate in the pilot cab sharing program.
- Unauthorized use of the service learning account for non-service learning purposes or by any unauthorized individual will result in a $300 fine to your student account. The service learning office receives itemized lists of all rides charged to the service learning account. These are regularly audited for unauthorized use.
- Use of United Cabs for service learning transportation is limited to groups of 2 or more. You must share a cab ride with at least one other service learning student traveling to the same destination.
- This account is authorized for use only between Loyola's main campus and the destinations listed below. It is not possible to charge the service learning account for transportation to any other destination. No other destinations can be authorized.
- Only United Cabs are covered through this pilot program. Students using any other cab company will be liable for fares.
