Receiving Text Message Notifications from Loyola Service Learning:

In order to quickly receive important reminders from Loyola Service Learning, allow @LoyolaSL to send text messages to your cell phone through Twitter.  In order to allow us to do so, please follow the following steps:

  1. First, click the button above and set up a Twitter account if you have not already done so.  Follow LoyolaSL on Twitter.
  2. After you have logged in to your Twitter account, click Settings.
  3. Next, click Devices, input your cell phone number, check the box that says "It’s okay for Twitter to send txt messages to my phone," then click Save.
  4. You will then be asked to verify your cell phone number.  Follow the directions onscreen.
  5. Twitter will then text message you to let you know that you have enabled text messages from Twitter on your phone.
  6. Note that you will only receive text messages when you enable Twitter text messaging for specific people you are following.  By default, you will not receive any texts from people you may be following.  In order to enable text messaging for Loyola Service Learning, go to our Twitter page here.  First, follow LoyolaSL.  Then enable text messaging from LoyolaSL by clicking the box under our picture that says "Device updates OFF."  Once you click this box, it will become green and say "Device updates ON."

Congratulations...you can now receive text messages from Loyola Service Learning!
