North Rampart Community Center

North Rampart Community Center

The main objective of North Rampart Community Center is to restore recreational and educational programs for children, youth and families of the Greater New Orleans community.  NRCC is located on the border between the French Quarter and the African American community of Treme.  Our after-school program, which was established in the 1930s, has been the backbone of the Center.  In 2007-2008, we had a total of 250 children enrolled in this program.

Loyola service learning students can assist with daily activities in all of our program areas.  These activities range from leading arts and crafts and playing games in the gym to helping kids with homework, computer literacy, and reading in our study room.  NRCC is always looking for new, innovative ways to enhance our programming, so if you have a special gift or talent, please let us know!
