Loyola Recycling Program

Loyola University Recycling Program

The goal of the campus-wide recycling program is to encourage environmental awareness, preserve our natural resources, support responsible consumption, and promote reverence for creation.  We do this by maintaining a comprehensive recycling program.  As a campus community, we set an example to others by active participation to decrease adverse impacts on our environment and conserve precious natural resources.

Loyola service learning students can be involved in two main ways:

  1. Collecting recycleables from across campus and emptying them into designated bins
  2. Setting up, staffing and taking down table displays in various campus buildings showing what can and cannot be recycled at Loyola and why. Display materials are fully assembled. While staffing the table, students should also hand out flyers explaining Loyola's recycling program.
