Boys Hope Girls Hope
Boys Hope Girls Hope of Greater New Orleans provides children in need between the ages of 10 and 18 with a stable home, positive parenting, high-quality education, and the support needed to reach their full potential. We currently operate 2 homes in the mid-city area serving a total of 16 children in need from the Greater New Orleans area. We also provide financial and emotional support to program graduates in college.
Loyola Service Learners serving at Boys Hope Girls Hope can learn how to help young children succeed in school. They can also learn how to relate to children from different cultures who are in great need of academic support.
All of our scholars are in top schools in New Orleans, where curriculum can be challenging. Service learners will be tutoring and providing guidance to our scholars. Tutoring tasks will include helping with homework and projects. For our older scholars who are thinking about college, this is a great opportunity to help provide guidance with the college application process.
