Animal Rescue of New Orleans (ARNO)
Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) is an organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of abandoned and homeless animals. ARNO was founded in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana and Mississippi. We continue to respond to animals in need of medical care, or who have been neglected, abused and deprived of love. ARNO promotes the foster, adoption, and reunion of pets with caretakers, as well as spaying/neutering of all companion animals. We are strictly a no-kill shelter. Watch a WWL news story about ARNO here.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of ARNO. Tasks may include: feeding and watering cats and dogs, walking dogs, playing with animals who need socialization, cleaning kennels, washing food and water bowls, and the like.
All volunteers over 18 years of age must sign and submit this agreement. If you are under 18 years of age, use this agreement.
