Textbooks

  • Text books with hard covers can not be recycled.
  • Thick journals, magazines or soft covered text books (1/2 inch or more) with glue binding can not be recycled Too much glue gums up the recycling machines.
  • Thin journals, magazines or soft covered text books (less than 1/2 inch thick) with glue binding can be recycled in the magazine dumpster.
  • Any plastic sheet covers must be removed from printed booklets.
  • Any wire or plastic spiral bindings must be removed.
  • If the booklets are white/colored office paper, you can put it in the office paper collection bins.
