Resources for Instructors
Instructors and others who wish to reproduce copyrighted material have a number of resources that serve to ensure legal compliance:
Loyola Bookstore
For course packs that require copyright clearance and/or royalties, the Loyola Bookstore is able to secure permissions, produce bound packets, and sell them to the students. Instructors should allow at least six to eight weeks to process requests. For more information, please visit www.loyolano.bkstr.com or contact the bookstore manager at loyolano@bkstr.com.
J. Edgar & Louise S. Monroe Library
Please visit the Monroe Library's Copyright for Faculty page. Here you will find helpful information about reserves, E-Reserves, and other options for sharing copyrighted information with your students.
Copyright Clearance Center
The Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) is a not-for-profit service that provides authorization to photocopy material from a large catalog of publications. The CCC’s Pay-per-use Permissions Service offers online clearance resources specifically for the academic community.
Instructors should establish individual accounts with the CCC. Invoices can then be paid with a check request, using the copyright subcode of 3078 or 4078. Departments should NOT set up accounts to be paid through a purchase order.
To learn more, or to establish an account with the CCC, see the Pay-per-use Permissions Service web page.
