BOLO BOLO Suspicious Person - Broadway campus
On Tuesday April 28 ,2009 @approximately 4:00 a.m. two Loyola students reported a suspicious person in the area of the Cabra Hall driveway on Broadway campus having just returned from studing at the main library. The inidvidual was standing next to what is described as dark colored flatbed pickup truck. The lights were off but the truck appeared to be running. The students observed this individual start to slowly walk toward them. Both students began to yell at which time the individual slowly backed toward the truck continually staring at the two women. Thg suspect then entered the truck and slowly drove past the students continuing to stare at them as he headed south toward the river.
Assuming that this suspicious person had left the area, one of the students left the Cabra lot in her vehicle headed for home traveling Broadway headed toward Claiborne Avenue. The suspect again pulled behind her vehicle at Broadway and Freret and followed her for several blocks until she eluded him. The student returned to Cabra Hall to meet with her friend when she noticed the suspect circling the area of Cabra Hall. The students contacted LUPD and officers immediately responded and searched the area but the suspect apparently fled prior to their arrival. The students advised that they were unable to obtain license plate information because the tail gate on the truck was down.
