Program Costs
A one-time $150 orientation fee will be charged to all new fulltime undergraduate freshmen and transfers to cover the cost of the program. The fee will appear on your fall tuition bill. All student meals and program expenses are included in this orientation fee. Parents’ meals will be available on a cash basis.
Immunizations and Health History
Louisiana State law requires all students entering the university for the first time to show proof of the following immunizations:
- A tetanus/diphtheria vaccination within the last 10 years
- Two doses of measles, mumps, rubella (If born after 1956)
- Meningococcal vaccination
Proof of immunizations is required for you to enroll as a student at Loyola University. Immunization records should be mailed in advance or brought with you to your preview session. You may choose to take your immunizations at your preview session. Student Health Service staff will be available in Student Health Service during the check-in period. To receive your immunization records and/or take the tetanus, meningococcal, or measles/mumps/rubella vaccination. Registration for classes for Fall 2008 semester will be cancelled in January should you fail to show proof of these two immunizations. Access a Medical History and Immunization Compliance form.
Cost of the immunizations: The Student Health Service provides these shots at a nominal cost. Payment is required at time of immunization and may be paid in cash, check, VISA, or MasterCard. Your Health History Form may be submitted to Student Health Service at preview. This is required for all Loyola students and you will not be treated in the clinic until the Health History Form and HIPAA statement is completed. TB immunization is also recommended, though optional.
