"Iggy Nights" presents: Student Initiated Programming (SIP) Grants
What is a SIP grant?
Have a great idea for a program and are short of funds?
Student Initiated Programming grants are an excellent way to fund your
next event. This simple process allows you to receive “grant”
money and sponsor an event to promote an active, vibrant social life
on the Loyola New Orleans campus. Grants will be awarded up
to $500.
How do I get an SIP grant?
Descriptions of applicable programs are listed below.
Complete the application linked below and return to the Office of Co-Curricular
Programs on the ground level of the Danna Student Center. You may speak
with Hollie Chessman regarding your proposal. As a rule, applications
need to be in on Mondays before 10:00 am. They will be reviewed and
rewarded within two weeks. If your application is accepted, and depending
on account balance, your request may be granted in full or in part.
Questions should be directed to the Office of Co-Curricular Programs office either in person or via e-mail at hmchessm@loyno.edu.
Programs should:
• Promote an “active, vibrant campus life” on the

• Target towards the general Loyola University New Orleans community
• Interactive experience for the participants
• Be within University policies, guidelines, and procedures
Special consideration will be given to programs that are:
•Providing a non-alcohol social alternative
• Friday night (not during breaks or finals)
• Starting no earlier than 7:00 pm and no later than 9:00 pm
• Ending no earlier than midnight and no later than 2:00 am
• Encouraging the well-being of Loyola University students including
mental health, fitness, nutrition, and safety
