Acclaimed pianist Jae-Hyuck Cho performs at Loyola October 8

Acclaimed pianist Jae-Hyuck Cho will perform at Loyola University New Orleans on Sunday, October 8, at 3 p.m., in Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall. The concert is co-sponsored by the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans.
Cho is the 2004 New Orleans International Piano Competition silver medalist. A native of Korea, Cho has concertized in such renowned venues as New York's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, Korea's Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall, and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. As the winner of the Pro Piano New York Recital Series Auditions, Cho made his New York debut in 1993 at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. Since then, he has been active as a recitalist, soloist, and chamber musician throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. He has appeared with numerous orchestras and is a member of the New York-based chamber group Musicians of Lenox. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from The Julliard School under the tutelage of Herbert Stessin and Jerome Lowenthal. He is currently a candidate for a doctor of musical arts degree at Manhattan School of Music, studying with Nina Svetlanova.
