A new leader takes helm of the university
Loyola University celebrated the inauguration of the Rev. Kevin Wm. Wildes, S.J. as teh 16th president of the university on October 15. The inauguration festivities, which included a Mass, the inauguration ceremony, and a College of Music sponsored concert, was a seamless commemoration of a Loyola milestone. Wildes' installation was celebrated by his family, friends, and members of the Loyola community — faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends. In his inauguration speech, Wildes stressed that the ceremony was not about him, but was an opportunity to celebrate Loyola community and its can-do spirit.
