National Wolves on the Prowl packed with success

On Saturday, November 8, Loyola alumni in 11 cities across the United States spent the day in service projects, ranging from painting schools to visiting homeless shelters, in the second annual Wolves on the Prowl National Community Service Day. In New Orleans a team of student, faculty, staff, and alumni volunteers gave a much-needed sprucing up to Andrew Bell Middle School located at 1010 North Galvez.

Wolves on the Prowl began as a Student Government Association (SGA)-sponsored campus-wide community service project where Loyola students worked together for the greater good of the New Orleans community. Following the Jesuit tradition, the Loyola Alumni Association and the SGA worked together to host this year's national community service project where students, alumni, parents, and friends across the country joined together to be men and women for others.

The number of volunteers continues to swell in New Orleans and enthusiasm is growing in participating cities. Those areas include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, New York City, Orlando, San Francisco, St. Louis, Tampa, and Washington, D.C.
