November 14, 2003 International legal scholars gather at School of Law
The Hon. Maureen Clark (seated, second from right) was the keynote speaker at the "International Criminal Law: The Expansion of Individual Rights and Responsibilities for Human Rights Violations" conference that brought legal scholars from across the globe together. Loyola's International Law Student Association (ILSA) and the School of Law hosted the program. Four panels discussed international criminal law, with an emphasis on the International Criminal Court (ICC), which has been established in The Hague. Clark, who presented the keynote lecture on October 18, was elected and sworn in March to a nine-year term as trial judge to the ICC. ILSA members are standing. Other speakers are seated including Law Professor Jeanne Woods (left). |
