Floyd del Corral, B'51, chosen as outstanding alumnus

Distinguished member of the CBA Alumni Board, Floyd del Corral, B'51, was selected as the 2003 Adjuctor Hominum Award recipient. del Corral is honored as an outstanding alumnus whose life reflects those characteristics that Loyola seeks to bestow upon all its graduates, namely moral character, service to humanity, and unquestionable integrity. del Corral received the award during the reunion celebration.

del Corral's record of community service reflects an enduring loyalty to Loyola. He was a member of the Loyola alumni board from 1985 ­ 1987, and he was a member of the Loyola University Scholarship Gala Committee.

del Corral also has maintained an excellent service record in the surrounding Loyola community. He works with the board at Ursuline Academy, where he was a member of the board of directors from 1993 ­ 1997 and chair of the board of directors from 1997 ­ 1999. Previously, he was the chair of the Jesuit High School annual alumni campaign from 1988 ­ 1989 and president of the Jesuit High School alumni association in 1992.
