Increasing number of alumni attend events

During 2002 - 2003 alumni and parent relations' program attendance achieved a 14-per-cent increase over the previous year. To date, three percent of alumni event attendees participated in their first event in three years and five percent attended their first alumni event ever, according to Trish Moser, director of Alumni and Parent Relations.

More than 788 participants joined in Family Weekend 2003, representing 33 states and Puerto Rico; 76 percent of parents who attended were from out of state. This participation total is a 29-percent increase over last year. Since family weekend was reinstated in 2000, we have had a 261 percent increase in attendance.

In the area of Jesuit Identity programming, the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations partnered with the Student Government Association to offer the first national Wolves on the Prowl, a same-day community service program where students and alumni worked for the greater good of their communities. Eleven cities participated in the project. The goal for 2003 is to have 15 chapter cities participate.
