Business student wins Regional Collegiate Entrepreneur Award

Percy MarchandPercy Marchand has been named the top collegiate businessman for the Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas region of the North American Collegiate Entrepreneur Awards. Marchand will compete for the national prize in Chicago in the fall.

Marchand is a New Orleans native and graduate of St. Augustine High School. He is a business management sophomore at Loyola and one of the youngest licensed business operators in the country. His company, Marchand Printing, has customers around the New Orleans area including Loyola, St. Augustine, and government and non-profit organizations businesses.

As the regional winner, Marchand received a $2,000 stipend from the Saint Louis University Entrepreneur Center. These awards recognize exceptional entrepreneurial skill and creativity among undergraduate students enrolled in college, universities and other post-secondary institutions. Any undergraduate student who has completed 12 credit hours during the previous year and has continued on their business activity simultaneously is eligible. These awards began in 1988 at Saint Louis University.
