The John Mahoney Big Band is back in action

Over the next few weeks, the 18-piece jazz band, devoted to playing Mahoney's compositions, will appear at Snug Harbor and the Jazz Festival. On April 17 and May 1, the band will perform at Snug Harbor, 626 Frenchman St. The band will appear at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on Friday, April 27, at approximately noon in the Lagniappe Tent. And watch for the band's soon-to-be-released CD, In From Somewhere.

Some of the featured soloists include Rex Richardson, Rick Trolsen, Ray Moore, Tony Dagradi, Matt Lemmler, and John Vidacovich.
