Alumnus to receive award at spring salon

City College announces the 2000 Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented to Marlene L. Donovan, C'88, at the Spring Salon fund-raiser on March 23. The event will be held at the Southport Hall, 200 Monticello Avenue, in Jefferson, La.

Donovan received a bachelor of science degree in organizational sciences from City College in 1988 and has been involved with the university ever since. She is a former City College Alumni Board founding member and served as vice president of that board. She also served as a past president of the Loyola University Alumni Board. Donovan chaired the Alumni Association Scholarship Gala in 1996. Outside of her Loyola involvement, Donovan is active in the March of Dimes and in the Read and Reach program at University Hospital.

Donovan is a senior auditor and branch audit representative for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta-New Orleans. She has been with the Federal Reserve for 12 years. She is a board member of the New Orleans chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and board member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. A native of Colombia, she and husband, Raymond, have one son and reside in Kenner, La.
