2001 National Jesuit Book Awards 22nd annual competition

Alpha Sigma Nu announces the 2001 National Jesuit Book Awards 22nd annual competition. This competition is open to all faculty, administrators, or anyone with emeritus status at Jesuit institutions of higher learning who has published a scholarly book during 1998, 1999, or 2000 in the category of "Professional Studies."

Eligible works are all scholarly works in the category of "professional studies," specifically: architecture, business administration, communication, engineering, foreign service, law, and social work. Ineligible works include translations, edited books, textbooks, magazine articles, unpublished monographs, and subsequent editions of books previously awarded by ASN.

All submissions must be made by the author and postmarked before March 1, 2001. To apply, contact the chief academic officer, the Alpha Sigma Nu faculty adviser, the Alpha Sigma Nu Web page, or the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.

Works will be judged on the basis of scholarship, effectiveness of presentation, and style. Four cash prizes of $1,000 will be awarded. Awards will be announced October 1, 2001.
