Law Reunion 2000... memories abound

A highlight of Law Reunion Weekend 2000 was the presentation by University President Bernard P. Knoth of the President's Cup for the largest class reunion gift raised. The cup was presented to the law class of '75 during the Jazz Brunch and Annual Senior Advocates Society Induction honoring the law class of 1950 on Sunday November 5, 2000. Accepting for the class at right is Judge Richard T. Haik and left, Mtumishi St. Julien, a former Loyola trustee.

The law class of 1980 won both the Ignatius Cup for best participation in class gift and Loyola Cup for best reunion attendance. Law Reunion Weekend features a full weekend of events including a dean's welcoming reception on Friday evening November 3 which was followed by a complimentary theatre performance of "Skin of Our Teeth" in Marquette Theatre. Saturday November 4 included the SBA Family Picnic in Audubon Park and separate class reunion celebrations Saturday night. Alumni Mass at Holy Name and the Jazz Brunch rounded out the weekend.

Law Reunion Weekend 2000 raised $161,000 in class gifts for the law annual fund including an endowed professorship given by law 75 class member and Loyola Board Chairman Donna D. Fraiche and husband John and an endowed scholarship by Wendell H. Gauthier of the law class of 1970.
