November 10, 2000 Loyola and Texaco make great music togetherAt a press conference last month, Loyola announced the receipt of a $100,000 grant to the College of Music from the Texaco Foundation for a curriculum training program. The grant fosters a three-year initiative to design, implement, and assess integrative pre-kindergarten music curriculum this fall through the Partnerships in Education Office, New Orleans Public Schools Music Department, and the College of Music. The program will be piloted at Lafayette Elementary and move into five other schools in years two and three.
