Expert on codes of conduct lectures at Loyola

The Loyola University community will welcome distinguished scholar and professor Prakash Sethi, Ph.D., to campus on Tuesday, November 28, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Sethi's will speak to students and faculty on the subject of "International Codes of Ethics: Myths and Realities" in Miller 112.

Sethi is a university distinguished professor, academic director of executive programs, and professor of management at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, The City University of New York. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the area of international codes of conduct and has been instrumental in advocating new approaches with regard to their formulation, implementation, and performance evaluation. As part of his discussion, Sethi will highlight the plight of workers in sweatshops.

Sethi has taught at Baruch College since 1982. He has published over 23 books and 130 articles. He has extensively written and spoken on such topics as political advertising, corporate social responsibility, free markets and business ethics, dynamics of competition, corporate crimes, and multinational corporations, among others.

Sethi serves as editor-in-chief of Global Focus: An International Journal of Business, Economics and Social Policy, a leading international journal business, economics, and public policy. He also is an advisor to the executive office of secretary-general of the United Nations.
