October 6, 2000 Staff bikes in alum's memoryA group of Loyola physical plant employees will ride in the annual Multiple Sclerosis Tour for Cure-150, October 7 - 8. Frank Matise, Bobby Bush, Brian Biggs, Dominic Dipascal, John Jacob, and Billy Lopez will bike 150 miles from Hammond to Percy Quinn, Mississippi, and back. The bikers will ride in memory of Natashia Ahmed, a 1997 Loyola law alumna who died from the disease. The tour benefits multiple sclerosis research, advocacy, education, and local programs. The MS Bike Tour takes place nationally with state chapters organizing local bike tours. The Louisiana Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society can be contacted at 832-4012.
