Loyola Week
A Loyola University tradition—Loyola Day has
been expanded this year. Loyola Week will offer the university community
greater opportunities to explore its Catholic and Jesuit history and uniqueness.
The schedule of activities is as follows:
Monday, October 9
- Loyola Day No Daytime Classes
- Mass with St. Ignatius Loyola Ignatius Chapel, 9 p.m.
Tuesday, October 10
- Loyola Fest Music, Food & Refreshments, Peace Quad,
12:30 - 2 p.m.
- Ignatian/Jesuit/LOYNO displays, Peace Quad All Day
- Ecumenical Student Service of Praise & Worship, Audubon Room,
7:30 p.m.
- Mass with St. Ignatius Loyola, Ignatius Chapel, 12:20, 4:50, 9:00
Wednesday, October 11
- Interfaith Prayer Service followed by Luncheon Reception, Ignatius
Chapel, 12:30 p.m.
- Peace Quad Displays Continue, Peace Quad, All Day
- Mass with St. Ignatius Loyola, Ignatius Chapel, 12:20, 4:50, 9:00
Thursday, October 12th
- Unveiling & Dedication of Statue of St. Ignatius Loyola, Peace
Quad, 12:30 p.m., followed by luncheon reception (Rain site Danna Center)
- Open House (hosted by the Jesuit Community) Thomas Hall & St.
Charles Avenue Jesuit Residence, 1 4 p.m.
- Displays Continue in Peace Quad, All Day
- Mass with St. Ignatius Loyola, Ignatius Chapel, 12:20,4:50,9:00
- "Hour of Power" Ecumenical Service, Ignatius Chapel, 6
p.m.
Friday, October 13
- RSVP Luncheon with David O'Brien & Student Leaders Octavia I&II,
noon
"The Catholic Culture of Student Leadership Within a Jesuit University"
- International Country Fair (ISA), Peace Quad (Rain site Danna Center),
3:30 p.m.
- "Biever Lecture Series" (Faculty Senate) with David O'Brien,
