Office of Registrar changes name to Office of Student Records

The departmental name change of the Office of the Registrar to the Office of Student Records was effective August 30, 1999. The Office of Student Records will consist of two departmentsstudent services and administrative services. Kathy Gros has been named director of student services and Michael Rachal has been named director of administrative services.

Student Services will provide comprehensive, knowledgeable, one-stop service and information to students, parents, and alumni who contact the office regarding all aspects of student records and related academic processes, including support for commencement. Normal functions include registration services and issuances of transcripts, enrollment certification, and degree audit reports.

Administrative Services will provide service and training for administrative users of the student records system and act as a liaison with the Office of Information Technology on systems enhancement needs. Daily functions include processing curriculum records; assigning courses to classrooms; publishing schedules of course offerings in hard copy and on the web; maintaining the On Course database and producing degree audit reports for academic support staff; and processing grades, grade changes, transfer articulations, and miscellaneous record transactions.
