Air and heat shutdown

On Wednesday, November 25, 1998, all main campus air conditioning and heating will be off from 8 p.m. to midnight. Electrical work in the Central Plant will necessitate a shutdown of the boilers and chillers during this four- hour period. Mercy Hall is not connected to the Central Plant and will not be affected.

On Friday, November 27, 1998, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., all electricity, including heating and air conditioning, will be off in Monroe Hall, Miller Hall, the new Monroe Library, and the Communications/Music Complex. (Note: For technical reasons, service to that building will remain off until 10 p.m.; the other buildings will be back on line at 5 p.m.) Entergy will be making repairs to the main line which serves the east side of the campus. Other necessary work has been scheduled during this timeframe in order to avoid future shutdowns.

Please make any necessary preparations for these shutdowns. Times of low activity on campus have been chosen to minimize inconvenience as much as possible. Your usual understanding and cooperation will be appreciated.
